Trip to Botanic Garden w my dd - 11.7.09

Since it's bn a long time I go outside for a walk so I ask my dd 2 go botanic garden with me as last time he gt mentioned b4 that he wana go with me.. (: Hm Nw tink of it was only abt 10 mths since last yr I went w my TMIS frenz to here on our project research..

Managed to catpure a close up of the swans as there were ppl there feedin them.. ^^

After a short while, we went to National Orchid Park.. This is my 1st time goin in there.. Took alot of pics of lovely flowers n unique plants.. (:

If u were 2 ask me wat sort of games i enjoy playin during my schlings daes, den i can tell u it's those board game, card game etc..

I believe most gals gt play five stones b4 rite? So do I.. Can't really rem how old when i started 2 play.. I rem i could only mastered sum of the tricks.. Bt nw if u were 2 ask me 2 dig out my five stones, i can only say i dun noe where's their whereabouts le cuz nt sure whether still @ my hse or I abondoned them liao.. lol =X

Another games wic I enjoy will be the pick up sticks.. It's quite thrilling act as u hav 2 b careful of nt to dong dao another stick when u pick up the stick on top..

I also rem clearly when last time when I was in pri sch, my dear fren Carrie bot this monopoly game 2 sch.. Me, hua hua n her, hm.. nt sure if gt other ppl join or nt play tis game .i f i nt wrong shb b after our exam or wat we go play.. Tat time was my first time playin tis game.. Was abit lost while playin.. A few years ltr I buy a Singapore Edition Monopoly @ popular book shop..

One of my fav card game will b d Uno game.. It's veri easy 2 catch up n the rules are veri easy 2 understand.. Bt I totally forget when i start playin cuz abit mo hu u c..

Oh yeah nt forgeting abt the hopscoth game.. I used 2 play in pri sch as pri sch gt those alreadi drawn on the ground.. Often played w my frenz.. @ hm i oso play cuz my hse flr tiles was quite similar.. Lol

I rem when i was a child, my father bot this brick game.. N both of us were quite addicted to it. tat we spent most of the time playin it. Nw tinkin of it, it reali adds on to my memories and nice time gatherin w my frenz.. (=

I tink when u all c tis post can call me Farmer Eve liao cuz i gt five farm on facebk.. lol For those who are oso recently hook up on farm game u mayb oso playin the same games as me..

Hey guys, 2dae i finally discharge fr kk.. Erm, if those of my frenz who are wondering hw cum i din mention i was in kk.. nt 2 worri cuz I dun wan u guys 2 worri abt me as my illness has been solved n removed..

hm.. can say i gt gd n bad experience la.. why do i say so??

1st dae in kk

I hav 2 b there by 7.30am.. Take my q no n waited 2 b admitted in kk.. Lucky the waiting time was nt veri long even the number was seem 1000 no further away.. heng ah.. den after finishin admission procedure hav 2 go 2 basement day surgery bt my operation was nt held there.. Change into hospital wardrode n get ready 2 b operate by doctors.. Actually I can feel myself abit scared la cuz u c i 1st time opertation leh.. When i was @ the operating threathe, hm.. all i rem is they ask me 2 sign so many doc.. lol den after the staff giv me a oxygen tank 2 breathe.. @ tat time i was start 2 feelin dizzy n wana slp.. When I wake up, the operation was over alreadi.. Heard fr my bf tat d staff nurse say 2 him tat while the operation is over i was still slping.. When I wake up alreadi, wah i can tell u I was reali in pain till I cry out.. Lucky gt painkiller 2 stp the pain if nt i sure cry like hell.. lol..

Overall, I still find tat sum of the nurse shd improve in their attitude.. Cannot b'cuz of the class of ward the patient is stayin in den u sort of hackcare.. tis is nt a rite way 2 do.. Anyway on my 3 day in kk, werid tings happen 2 me.. Sudd i lost my control over my mouth n tongue.. My tongue always wana stick out n my lower jaw always wana move sideways.. Reali veri scarly n it took them long hrs 2 solve my pro.. They oso dun noe wat result me in tis way.. Bt i was reali disappointed in their service la.. I gt tis kinda pro den took them ages 2 help me solve.. wahlaueh!! Muz wait till a nurse finally giv me a muscle relax jab den i slowly gt beta.. haiz.. no wonder our service level always drop n nv rise higher.. Bt tis was reali sort of nightmare 2 me tat i din take d medicine as too much fear in me liao.. Scare wait after take d medicine i again becum lidat..

Bt i find sum of the nurse veri friendly n reali makes my day.. Kudos 2 them..

Doctors n nurse say i @ 2 mths den can carry heavy item.. Den excercise wise can only do light ones.. Looks like i gt wait 4 quite sum time den i can go for swimming again.. Bt anyway gald tat I on the track of recovery.. (=

Din go anywhere on weekend bt sat hav another cooking session dae w my dd..

Let me share w u all sum nice dishes we made yesterdae and recipes..

Yummy noodles...( hm.. let's call it simple yummy dried noodle)

Wana noe hw do we prepare??
U will need the below following:

Ingredients:
Noodles
Cooked sliced carrot and Cai xin
1 sunny side up
Sauce for noodle:
2 tablespoon of ketcup
2 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce
2 tablespoon of light soya sauce
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
100ml boiled water

Method:
1. Cook the noodle in boiling water.
2. Mix all the ingredient for all the noodle sauce all together in a bowl.
3. When the noodle is cook, drain away those water.
4. Mix the noodle well with the sauce.
5. Add in carrot, cai xin and sunny side up.

Nx dish: sesame oil chicken with soya sauce


Ingredients:
1 Ginger(cut into slices)
1 Chicken breast meat
1 stalk of Spring Onion (chopped)
1 Stalk of coriander leaves (chopped)
2 tablespoon of soya sauce
1 tablespoon of sesame oil

Method:
1. Fried the sliced ginger in a wok till fragant.
2. Stir fry the chicken till it's golden brown and remove the ginger
3. Cut the chicken breast meat into pieces.
4. Pour in the soya sauce and sesame oil.
5. Garnish with spring onion and coriander leaves.

Nx dish: Simple Jap miso soup

Ingredients:
1 packet of miso soup powder(can get it from ntuc)
1 Doufu(cut into cudes)
Sum shredded seaweed

Method:
1.Boil a pot of water.
2.Add in the soup powder.
3. While the water is boiling, add in the doufu and cook for awhile.
4. When ready to be serve add in the seaweed. You may wana add in sum add black pepper to taste as well.

Now let's move on to learn sum simple chinese dishes..

Mao Gua soup with fishball.

Ingredient:
1 cude of ikan billi soup stock or sum fried ikan billi
1 Mao Gua(cut into quarters)
1 Packet of fishball

Method:
1. Boil a pot of water.
2.Add in ikan billi soup stock or sum fried ikan billi
3.Add in Mao Gua and let it slowly be cooked.
4.Add in fishball and let the soup be cook for a while longer till fishballs are being cooked.

Lastly, Fried potatoes and luncheon meat in sweet and sour sauce..

Ingredient:
3 small potatoes(cut into cudes)
Half tin of luncheon meat(cut into cudes)
Sweet and sour sauce:
2 shallots
1 gloves of garlic
1 Tablespoon of Vinegar
1 tablespoon of Tomato sauce
1 Tablespoon of light soya sauce
1 round tablespoon of corn flour
100ml of boiled water

Method:
1. Heat oil in the wok.
2. Stir fried the potato till slightly brown
3. Add the luncheon meat and stir fry till golden brown.
4. Remove both potato and luncheon meat from the wok.
5. Mix vinegar, light soya sauce, tomato sauce, corn flour and water and blend it well.
6. Fry shallot and garlic till golden brown
7. Add in the sauce( if the sauce seem too dried can add in sum water)
8. Add in the fried potato and luncheon meat and mix well together with the sauce.
9. Serve hot.

6.6.09 - Swimming dae n dining out @ Shokudo Japanese Food Bazzar

Initially planning 2 swim @ d swimming complex nearby my hse de bt too bad it was closed for the youth asian games.. Bt lucky Bishan one was open so my dd n I headed there.. Long time din hav a swim le wor.. Dun reali rem hw long liao.. Lol.. I even finally mastered the backstroke swimming style.. Yay!! So happy=D

After tat, we went to Shokudo Japanese Food Bazzar located @ Raffles Place Shopping Centre.. If I nt wrong, Tampines one oso hav one outlet.. Act wana try the jap tempura as recommend on the 小男人周记 bt can't found so we went to tis instead.. Veri new way of concept wor.. When u reach there, the staff will giv u a card per person n u use the card to purchase meal n other item wor.. N beside tis, they will giv u a reservation item 4 u 2 reserve a table while u guys can go n around to decide wat u wana eat..

Tis is the card tat u hav 2 use while placin ur order..
