We look through various of ID companies through Renotalk forum. Here a lot of ppl also will recommend the ID which they use of cuz provided is up to standard..
What owner needs is to forward them a copy of your floor plan and let know your type of HDB. Ours is Premium BTO, hence, doors, floor tiles finishing has been done for us..
So I hereby state the list of ID companies which we approach..We begin our search before chinese new year..
1. Chew'S Interior Design
Since this is the first one we approach, we decided to drop by their show room to get a idea of what ID normally proposed. The price was rather costly so we have give it a miss..
2. Weiken
We went to tampines show room but disappointed to see that it did not open. Not sure why.. My husband has forward them our floor plan. But they did not reply either. Too many enquries coming in due to the show hosted by Mark Lee, I guess?
3. The Carpenters
They have their own wrkshp. After we told the ID what we have in mind. He asked us to come to their office again and refuse to disclose how much he is quoting us. I did not think is very right to ask ppl come down all the way but only to find out the pricing is not within the budget. I guess is one of the tactic to get ppl confirm on the spot.. So we give it a miss too.
4. Sky Creation
I saw my fren like their fb page. So I also follow suit and tell my husband about this company too. They have a office at whampoa area. So we have made appointment with the ID. He show us a sample of the materials they are using. They have a wrkshp at malaysia. But however they are using the same tactic like carpenters to trick us coming to their office again. Of cuz we did not do that too.
5. Senz of white
The ID whom we meet with was a very young lad. He is very frenly and shw us his sincerity of wanting our deal. So we shortlist his company as one of our choice.
6. Element Designz.
If I did not rem wrongly, they come with a package that seems like a good deal as their package price was among all the ID the cheapest. However, my hubby's bro-in-law mention that if he encounter such ID, he will rather not engage them.. But then we still hold on under our shortlist choices.
7. Design Profession
The guy we spoke to, I believe is the boss. He promised to quote beyond the budget price we had in mind. But after receiving his quote we will rather disappointed.
8. Living Art Design
I must say this guy who is the boss also is very presistent in follow up with us ever since after my hubby drop him a enquires. Although is very annoying, but we decide to give this guy a chance and ask him to drop by our hse to take measurement etc.. Due to pricing, we also put him under our shortlist ID companies.
9. Dots n Tots Interior
This ID seems very inexperience. Although she also doing same renovations at her hse which the same blk as us, but when she go to our house, she did not take any measurement and say she can based on the floor plan as is the same as her hse. We were abit puzzled as she took a measurement but she did not take any measurement. Pricing super costly too.
10. Wawe
Hmm. This ID does not what is he doing And the answer he give us to our question was not really answer properly.. But we appreciate him for highlighting some defects which we had overlook.
11. Our current ID (I will not disclose their company name yet as I want to see their overall performance at the handover stage)
I remember the first meeting we had with this ID at our house. He bring along his manager along too. As his pricing was still in our budget range, so yup his company under our short list too..
