Seriously, I never had food that make me so addicted and wana eat the same food for serveral. Currently my workplace is located to the whampoa food centre. There quite a couple of famous which have been advertised on tv before. So today let's talk about one of the stall which I like the most.
Name of the stall: China Whampoa handmade noodle
I have tried both soup and dried verison of their noodles. Below are my review for both version.
Their soup verison: I like the sweetness of the soup and like to drink the soup 1st before eating the noodles. Although it was sweet, but it will not stop you for having more and you won't feel tired of it. What I find it really special that they use money cai to goes with the noodles. Compare to other stall, they will normally use cai xin, xiao bai cai or cabbage etc. You get to decide what is the main ingredient you want with your noodles. e.g: big prawns, abalone clams, fish slices and so on. It all depends on yourself. Previously, I try out the abalone clams ban mian as I have never taste abalone clams before. To my surprise, it does reali goes well with the noodles! Since then, I fall in love with abalone clams. My habit of eating this soup version, is that I like the dip the slices of the abalone clams with their specially own made chilli sauce. Yummy!!
dried prawn ban mian
I notice that they have dried version too! Since prawn are my favourite, I decided to give it a try. It taste so well with the dark soya sauce and chilli. Ohya, not forgeting their crispy fried ikan billi. Shiok was the word to be find in my dictionary since I am a chilli lover. The prawn was extremely fresh too!! ^~
Both dried and soup verison varies from $3(for smaller verison) & $5 (for bigger portion). I feel both prices is damn reasonable. In case you get so addicted to their chilli sauce, the stall owner oso do sell their own made chillies sauce, smaller bottles is $3 dollars whereas bigger bottles is $8.
Arite ending this post with the stall location: Blk 91 Whampoa Dr
