Ipoh Trip (13-16th Nov 24) Day 1 - 13.11.24

Is been about five years since the last trip to Penang.

I finally managed to persuade my husband to bring me go travel again. 

While we waiting for the gate to open for our plane, we explore around T4 and saw below scenery so beautiful.


Saw a few koi fish too, some are pretty huge~ ( see below video)


Due to the slightly bad weather, our plane almost landed in Penang airport lucky the Ipoh weather has lesser rain so therefore the plane made a u-turn back to Ipoh. Our plane was delayed by about 1 hr and 30 mins..



First time I can see from the window raining was passing by us. (my husband make fun of me while I taking this video) 😒

There was a complimentary supper too! Started recently during November.


We settled down in the hotel and charge our phone to the fullest before heading out for our first dinner in Ipoh. Husband wanted to try out this. This was just next to our hotel, located at Ipoh Parade. (there is a link way at the ground flr, near the lift lobby)


Below are what we ordered:-


Top : Stewed Yellow Wine Chicken With Tian Ma Botany (RM49.90)
Bottom Left: Braised Beancurd with Prawn Claypot (RM55.90)
Bottom Right : Signature soup (RM63.90)

Wee ordered two bowls of rice each(RM3.00/bowl). My verdict about the food:-
  1. Top dish :my least favourite as some of the chicken is quite hard to chew and bite off due to some not fully cooked. However the tian ma botany was good though, I had mouthfuls of it with rice. For cold & raining weather this was good as there is some ginger strips with it. This dish also comes with red dates,
  2. Bottom left : this is my most favourite dish among all. The tofu was braised well, mushroom and the french bean was done just right. Accompanied with fried garlic and prawn texture was very spot on. 👍
  3. Bottom right : the chicken was cooked very tender, the soup was cooked with a few herbs and accompanied with some fish maw and goji berries.
 Total : RM175.70 + Sevice Tax : RM10.54 + Service Charge (10%) RM17.57 =RM203.80

We did not try out our hotel supper for the first night as husband was very tired.
