Day 3 - Chew Jetty, Street art and dinner at 锅香府

This is the destination we had in our itnerary of the day.. Chew jetty.. One of the jetty under the clan of jetties.. oh btw we reach there and Penang hill is by grab.. Quite safe actually just that very troublesome have to take a selfie for face recognition when you are in Malaysia.. 

I like the clear water and view.. So beautiful.. I even set this as my lappy wall paper..

Or they masked their own numbers and use other peole number to call.. So let's talk about various way how they reach to people.

Penang Georgetown (18th - 21th Nov 2019) - Part I

Since husband have some leave to clear, so we decided to go for some short trip.. 

Did some research on Bali and georgetown and end up he more prefer go penang since we are more familar of how the traffic is like over there.. 

1st dae 

Since we so far not yet try airasia service before, so this time round tried. It was stable and good. We took about 1 hour and 15mins to reach to penang international airport.

Series of timing and their meaning

Recently whenever i want to check on my phone for any new notification, the time shown on my phone will always be 16:44 (4:44pm). Which why I include the above picture here..

Small Renovation of my house - Part 2(Sourcing of IDs)

We look through various of ID companies through Renotalk forum. Here a lot of ppl also will recommend the ID which they use of cuz  provided is up to standard..

What owner needs is to forward them a copy of your floor plan and let know your type of HDB. Ours is Premium BTO, hence, doors, floor tiles finishing has been done for us.. 

So I hereby state the list of ID companies which we approach..We begin our search before chinese new year..

1. Chew'S Interior Design

Since this is the first one we approach, we decided to drop by their show room to get a idea of what ID normally proposed. The price was rather costly so we have give it a miss..

2. Weiken

We went to tampines show room but disappointed to see that it did not open. Not sure why.. My husband has forward them our floor plan. But they did not reply either. Too many enquries coming in due to the show hosted by Mark Lee, I guess?

3. The Carpenters

They have their own wrkshp. After we told the ID what we have in mind. He asked us to come to their office again and refuse to disclose how much he is quoting us. I did not think is very right to ask ppl come down all the way but only to find out the pricing is not within the budget. I guess is one of the tactic to get ppl confirm on the spot.. So we give it a miss too.

Small Renovation of my house - Part 1(Collection of keys and check out house defects)

We got our keys last year December. So on the day of collection, we went to pay for the fire insurance is a must at level before proceeding to collect our keys at level 1 office.

So we were given a pouch of keys which consist of the two bedrooms, master bedroom, mail box etc..

My mother-in-law has also help us prepare pineapple, incense etc.. Pineapple is for you to roll inside your house once you open the door, as it represent luck and coming in your house. After that we pray and sprinkle water with a kind of leaf at all the corner of our house.

Next step is to check for defects. No defects were found that time because we did not check more throughly. It was until we invite a few ID personel and they highlighted like windows issue etc.. 

Things to note: do check out your tiles if there is any of them not even, your gate color whether has it been alittle discoloured. We notice our shower pipes has stain on it after about 3 months and consult our ID for advise. We also bought some detergent to clean it off but not able to. So we went to BCSS office to brought up this matter to them. 

Ohya within the week of collection date, they will usually pre turn on the electricity and water supply, So this is your best chance to check if all water supply can flow out as normal with nothing chock on it and every powerpoint to test if there is any electricity detected. Tips: bring along your hp charger so that you can test it. 

Make sure all your house had been clear of defects before you let the ID of your choice to start carpentry works etc for your house.

Grub at Bishan Park

Last month I finally meet up with my dearie fren, Iris for I think 1 year plus or more din catch up with her. I am indeed to see her again. hehe So I decided to bring her to this nice place located at Bishan Park. Reason why I wana come here is because they are famous for their Churros. 

I had made a reservation beforehand via their website. About a hr before the time which I booked, I received a automatic systematic call from them to double confirm the time which I booked. I am very impress with this kinda service. At first I thought is a spam call as the call is not a human being who called me. =P

Helo there! This blog was again on hiatus for a long time due to I am recently busy with hse renovation matters and also researching on my honeymoon trip. So I decided to post some food review again. Toa Payoh recently has quite a few cafe so today, I gona post three of them first. There will be a few mores in another part of my cafe review so do stay tune..  

Les Patisseries

Well, you know what? This picture was taken about 5 months plus back when I visited this cafe with my husband. =P Anyway back to the point, this was my first time eating a macoron. Their strawberry smoothie was nice, smooth texture with rich frangant smell and so do the mocha. Their waffle was soft yet not to soggy kinda texture. Just nice. However I find the macoron rather too sweet for me..

Hai Di Lao Hot Pot @ 313 Somerset

Yeap, few weeks back went to try out this steamboat place with two of my gfs after seeing alot of gd review from ppl who went here. There is two outlet, one is at 313 somerset and the other at clarke quay. We went to the 313 somerset outlet. B'cuz we did not make any reservation before so we waited for about two hrs plus for our turn to go in.

Ramen Kagetsu Arashi

My luv saw this on hardwarezone one day and he asked if I interested. Since I haven't had ramen for a long period of time, so why nt? So we went to the Cathy last weekend to give it a try.

 Every desk has these seasoning for you to match with.. There is white vinegar, layu, souyu etc..

We order their gyoza. I think is 5 bucks or less, can't reali rem. It's not oily and not too dry. The waiter there told us to dip with white vinegar and shoyu. Prefect dipping sauce for this plate of gyoza.

Wang Thai Kitchen

My good fren whom I noe her since primary school bring me to this place of nice and cheap thai food. 

The drinks~ Left is lemongrass drink which is mine, right is hers; thai milk tea.

Wow I din noe that Thai milk tea is so amazing nice!!! It has a richer taster den those normal milk tea which we drink from coffeeshop. My drink is refreshing too and a good accompany drink to go with many spicy food like tom yam soup etc..

  We order two types of soup, one is the above fish slice tom yam soup.

The other one was this seafood tom yam soup.

Spring Ju Chun Yuan 聚春园

 One day, my luv suggested to go try out this dim sum dinning place..

Just take a gd look at the cheap price on a weekdae for a dim sum ala cate buffet!!! Plus no service charge was included in the total bill. You can eat all you can for just this price only.

Short getaway trip to Batam - 17.3.14 - 18.3.14

My bf planned tis trip quite a few weeks ago. So noon time we take batam fast ferry on the 17th.

The ferry journey took about an hr..

 Halfway through our trip, skies are getting darker n started to rain heavily.

This was the harris hotel that we checked in. I like the staff there, so frenly and they always full of smile on their face.

The hotel room mini bar. We only consumed the mineral water as it is the only item which is free. LOL. But I realised their cups wasn't that clean enuff so nv use it.

 I was surpried that this hotel got light up some essential oil. Smells nice!

Lunch time was my fav fast food which u can't find it anymore in singapore. It's my fav fast food during childhood days. I like the curly fries the most. 1st time tryin out the waffles n it was great. Compared to other fast food, you can see from the above picture that they use utensils that need to be clean after use. Unlike the rest, they use disposable utensil.

Dinner was d'cost seafood. Erm sorry no pictures as my bf say if can dun shw my note 2 unnesscary as my phone was nt common in this country. Plus next to us was a table full of malay ppl.. I think the food wise was  quite salty n spicy. But i still can accept cuz I myself also like food with more nt so bland taste.

Our supper was JCO drinks and donuts. Was super full so we din eat all the donuts so left some for the next day.

I like the almond, green tea and durian flavour the most. 

This is the total amount we spent. You convert to sg dollars so much cheaper and this kinda price you can't get it in singapore.

 Oh yeah, their bathroom slipper. Unique hor?

Next morning, we wake up to have our breakfast. Yummy. I like their congee the most as can topped with many kinds of topping. As I typing this post, I nw actually craving for it.. 

 The hotel dinosaur. Every morning this dinosaur and the staff will perform a short dance.

 While they dance, I enjoy myself with a nice cup of cuppucino which my bf got for me.

 Guess how deep is their swimming pool? Only 1.15 metre nia. Think more suitable for children.

 Can make a guess what is this? This is actually a small lamp.

 This was the hotel shop. you can buy some of the hotel stuff like their cups, bath rode,bags etc..

Inner thoughts about wrong way of addressing people

I find it veri asburb when a stranger just stomp upon a group of frenz photo and comment: "eh y ur group got auntie?"

FYI the auntie here refer to me. Ya I am the oldest among all but do i even look like an auntie? I admit I dun have a young small gal face anymore just that I look mature rather than look so kiddy rite? But hey that stupid n ignorant fellow makes me wonder does he call gals who look mature auntie as well. If really is, that realli shows that he does not even noe how to differniate how a auntie actually looks like. Plus this addressing  is kinda rude. To him might feel nthing wrong. To me a auntie means a married woman and with kids already. This is damn call auntie.

I also heard about some eg of people calling ppl wrong way of addressing. Just for instance my bf was being mistaken as my dad. I was like speechless and does that person need to go and wear glass or nt? Or older neighbour calling my bf auntie when he still in his early 30s nia..

A auntie calling her son to call my niece auntie when she is fucking much more older den my niece some more. So shall my niece call her lao auntie or lao ah ma?

I reali wonder whats wrong with these group of ppl.. I was freaking piss off being label as auntie wic in actual fact be it my looks or appearance I dun even look like one at all. If is coming from a small kid I will just don't take it too hard. I have seen the picture of the stranger to me rather than labeling a person as auntie why not take a gd look at his stupid appearance. So unkempt hair, fringe feaking long and so damn ugly on his stupid head.

I so far nv recieve such tings from same gender.. So that makes me tink that nwadaes guys are just talking without any brain and behave like so childish.. They always like to comment on us gals and yes I do agree there are serveral matertistic gals around but I find nowadaes guys is worst. Losing their mancho side , likes to complain unreasonably like a woman as thou other owe them.. sianz 

To such guys what u call to others the same kinda address will be back to you. So please mind your wrds and mouth.. I have seen other case where by how badly u treat or say to other ppl you will be the one who will end up in a worst situation..

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh

I love eating bak kut teh especially the soup based. Peppery taste and so yummy. Today I going to recommend a place to eat Bak Kut Teh.

Song Fa's Bak Kut Teh so far is the best bak kut teh among all the places I have tried..

I am not a fancy lover of intestine but I must say they do handle well with the intestine as they do not have any heavy smell. So I dun mind eating it.
