Macau Trip(4D3N) - Day 3 (30.12.25) Part 1

Itinerary of the day: Macao Giant Panda Pavilion, The Parisian & Eiffel Tower,  The Londoner & Taipa Village, Wynn Place & Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roasted Goose

Our 2nd in room breakfast: Oriental breakfast

Our choice of drinks : hot soya bean milk, carrot & watermelon juice(carrot juice was naturally sweet)

Choice of congee : scallop and chicken served with you tiao, dim sum(Xiao Long Bao, Siew Mai & Har Gao), side dish & garnish : salted egg, spring onions, sichuan veggies, ginger & cai po

Noodles : wok fried noodles w shredded pork in supreme soy sauce(this is pretty good👍)

Fruit platter same as per the previous day. 

1st stop : Giant Panda Pavilion

We had board LRT towards Taipa Ferry Terminal direction and alight at Union Hospital and switch to Seac Pai Wan and walk quite a distance to come here.

Macau Trip(4D3N) - Day 2 (29.12.25)

 Itinerary of the day: Macau Tower & Grand Prix Museum

Our first in room breakfast : Western Breakfast

Consist of 

• Our choice of drinks : Grapefruit & Orange and freshly brew black coffee.
• Breakfast break basket : Croissant, assort danish, whole wheat sour dough & raspberry muffin.
• Scramble egg served with multigrain bread, potato patties, sauteed mushroom, bacon, pork sausages, cherry 🍅 & broccolini.
• Yoghurt : strawberry and blue berries(blue berries taste more sour)
• Fruit platter: orange, honey dew, melon, watermelon & pineapple.

Three different type of jam to spread on the bread beside butter: Apricot, Orange & Strawberry. My favourite is the apricot flavour, not too sweet yet so fragrant.

Look! Their pepper is mix with some uncooked rice.

Was super full after finish. So we rested awhile before heading out to our itinerary of the day.

We walk to this LRT station which is the nearest to our hotel. We walk about 10 mins to this station and took the direction towards Barra. Trip fare per person : MOP 8

1st stop : Macau Tower

Tadeh! Macau Tower!! we walk quite a distance from the Barra LRT. Initially my husband want to bring me go to Ah Ma temple. But we cannot find our way there and since Macau Tower is within the view from we walk, so we headed straight there. 

Macau Trip(4D3N) - Day 1 (28.12.25)

Was deciding whether to book under scoot or Air Macau, end up we booked under scoot (Cost : SGD 1,536.88, our seat was economy 10 row) as Air Macau timing was very much more later and the flight journey was around 4 hours. 

Loved the sunset view from my seat.. 

We reach Macau was around 5pm close to 6pm. The skies was turning dark(their sun set was earlier an hr than SG). There is a shuttle bus pick up point beside the airport but since we prefer to take taxi so never try their shuttle bus(aka 发财车).

Their taxi is black and white and this is the hotline you can try to call and book. Saw this sign at the taxi point outside the airport. The taxi journey to our hotel was about 8 mins,  The hotel we stayed at : Altira Hotel . We booked waterfront king room and total cost for 4D3N was SGD 911.64.(booked around nov)

Their lobby near the check in counter, located at 38th floor. 

Watashi wa Seikei Bijin

Just finish watching this Japanese drama - Watashu Wa Seikei Bijin. Nice drama. I think is also the japanese version of my id is gangnam beauty. The female lead underwent for plastic surgery to make her life better due to her past experience which she feel due to her not so beautiful face. 

Sometimes people in nowadays ear do judge people by their looks/appearance Many do not realized it is the inner beauty that matters.

Let me share some of my past encounter.

Hiring Personnel

Based on my recent interview or job application encounter, below are some which I find my encounter not pleasant.

Recruiter from various recruit firms

I ever encounter one recruiter can even still call me when I did stated on my cv for agent please what app. 😒. Some can even address my full name. or separate my Chinese name. My godness isn kinda rude.

Hiring manager or HR address you by wrong name or did not read your cv/application form

This was my recent interview I encounter. Is a big organization, of course cannot be expecting them to remember exactly all the candidate details. But at least before you conduct the interview, spent a quick few mins to read thru the candidates information, This is basic courtesy.

There is a another experience which the interview was conducted on a Sat, when i reach the interview place the hiring manager can still ask me am I who and who but is  not my name. Veri unprofessional.

Non-logical or reasonable requirement

Ipoh Trip (13-16th Nov 24) Day 4 : 16.11.24

Alright nothing much on this day as we heading back to Singapore. Our flight was at 9.45am, so we wake up super early at about 6am. Headed for some light breakfast before went back our room to pack everything that we might left outside our luggage. Same like any other days, we booked a grab which come in a super old and smelly taxi. This is one of our 小插曲。。

Ipoh Trip (13-16th Nov 24) Day 3 : 15.11.24

As usual we went for our breakfast at the hotel restaurant. This time round they have some pandan waffle. Yums😋They also have some small cakes like chocolate mini cupcakes. As I have alot the previous day so never took any on this day. Most of the food item almost the same like the first breakfast we had. Only slight different on menu like char kway teow and fried rice..

Our 1st stop : Old Town White Coffee at Heritage Centre

Ipoh Trip (13-16th Nov 24) Day 2 : 14.11.24

Initially I wanted to go to Zahara Garden but according to the grab app, it seems like the map don't have this place and we were worried that we might have difficulties coming back to the hotel. Therefore we check with the hotel concierge whether they can make arrangement to book a driver to go this place. The driver charges at RM300 for round trip which we found it too expensive, so we decided to change of plan and go to Mirror Lake.(also b'cuz grab can go to this place)

The view here was absolutely beautiful and worth coming for. 

Ipoh Trip (13-16th Nov 24) Day 1 - 13.11.24

Is been about five years since the last trip to Penang.

I finally managed to persuade my husband to bring me go travel again. 

While we waiting for the gate to open for our plane, we explore around T4 and saw below scenery so beautiful.

Saw a few koi fish too, some are pretty huge~ ( see below video)

Due to the slightly bad weather, our plane almost landed in Penang airport lucky the Ipoh weather has lesser rain so therefore the plane made a u-turn back to Ipoh. Our plane was delayed by about 1 hr and 30 mins..

First time I can see from the window raining was passing by us. (my husband make fun of me while I taking this video) 😒

Upgrading period

 Today I would like to share about my past learning journeys with various institute or learning centers.

Heavy Post

On the eve of my birthday, I received the news of which I had been dreadful of and also prepared myself some time back.

For those who know me close enough, you would had already know what really happen.

Yes my dad has already pass on. When I arrived at NCID, he had already left the world but in a peaceful manner. There is no sign of struggle. To think positively, it was a relief for him actually. It wasn't easy for him at his old age, to have suffer from breathing difficulties, chest discomfort etc.

I don't dare to say I am very good daughter as the time I spent with him was not so much compared to my sisters. Due to own's covid infection, husband recovering period from hospital discharge. But my love for him is not any lesser.

Is very hard for me to accept the fact that he is already gone on the first day. The only time finally make me accept this moment of truth was the moment he was being push for cremation and also his bone ashes. His bone ashes has some light pink spot which according to the mandai cremation and columbarium staff that such cases means this person while alive did many good deeds on thus he went to heaven.

It was a relief for me that he went somewhere peacefully. 

During the wake, there is many custom to follow, like prayer items, no. of days to pray for him etc. But also at the wake, I saw some ugly side of relatives.

Covid 19 Vacinnation journey

I was part of the minority who hasn't went for the vaccination. 

What has actually held me up-:

1. Is the vacinne really safe

2. I had some eczema issue, will the vaccine affect me in some ways 

What actually change my mind in the end:-

1. Fren gettin marry soon

2. I have elderly parents, so in order to reduce the risk of getting covid so hence decided to change my mind

3. Had check with the skin centre dr and I am good to go.

1st Dose

Had a heavy breakfast before dropping by nerby cc to take the first dose. Not much people in the queue. So I did not wait too long. 

WFH

I get to experience what is like for me to work from home due to I was a close contact with my office positive covid 19 case.

Got good and bad la.

Good things:-

1. No need to answer office calls 
2. Can listen to radio while I work(no one does that in office that's why)
3. I can take short break as and when needed
4. Save transport and can wear home clothes

Bad things:-

1. Colleagues will need to contact me directly at my mobile when they need to clarify something with me.
2. My house no printer can print so not able to print documents
3. I can only use dining table as my work space thus space constraint
4. I feel more sleelpy when work at home
5. I have to connect to company vpn when I turn on my pc in order to access documents on company server.
6. Initially I have a 2nd vaccine dose appt during the HRW period so thus I need to forgo and walk in for my 2nd dose when my isolation period ended

But after all is a good experience for me but i feel I more alert and productive at office

Current Job

Warning: long post head

A year back I was searching high and low to find a job that match my skills set and also the course which I gain knowledge in. I thought I have chosen a better career opportunity.

Everything seems to be great and nice colleagues which I interact with at the starting of few months, but I seem to be wrong in some ways lately this few mths in this year.

Ever since when there is a additional head count for my office, my job scope has been made new adjustment of. Previously I was help to compute the daily site workers report for the site superviors and  WHSOs  and Pms for them to tally and check thru. Now this job scope has been pass over to our HR executive. So hence I was added on new task given that most project procurement was taken back by my same dept colleague(previously she need to compute the worker salary and issue of pay slip, arrange courses). Some of the task I was not informed of in the first place and suddenly I was cc in the email and site colleagues was told to submit to me. 

This yr birthday Celebration~

Pre Birthday lunch treat from my colleague before I went on leave for my actual birthday.. 

There is a newly open ramen dinning place near our workplace. The dinning place is called Suparakkiramen..

This is their signature ramen. Not bad, just the way I like it. 

I order chicken karaage and my colleague ordered goyza as our side dishes.. The  goyza was crispy and tasty. The chicken was nicely done. 

A trip to Garden By The Bay (Hello Kitty Event)

 Suggested to my husband some day ago before the good friday holiday that let go and visit the garden by the bay since last time we did not get into the cold dry conserrvatory... is an opportunity to use the rediscover voucher..

Just in time to see the hello kitty themed display.. Although I am not a fan of hello kitty, I just feel the display is so girly like and beautiful.

Covid 19 complications and impacts

 Again is been some time since I have blogged about my daily life.

And since I have something brooding me that I need to get it out of me and just gotten my new laptop. so why not?

Covid has been here with us for over a year plus and hit us very hard.

5th wedding anni celebration

Just nice our wedding date is back on sat, so since we going back to my in law place husband suggest this place : kraft kitchen.

I like how this place was so cozy and little people. Their service was fast and friendly. And the best thing is there is no service charge at all!!!

For drinks, we had vanilla peanut butter milkshake.. Rich peanut butter taste and fragrance comes fr vanilla.. Very unique taste of drink.

Digitalisation

Singapore has slowly adapted to paperless and digital society.

For eg mobile line bills, paying to frens about own food orders using paylah/paynow, nets biz equipment used by hawker stallers, virutal meetings and classes...

It was indeed provided faster response and embracement of green environment.. 

But however this is still some flaws..

During peak hours especially lunch time, hawkers may not have the time to check every each transaction as they cannot afford to let customer wait too long. There is lack of guidance to teach them how to use such technology and how to check if transaction has gone through efficiently.

Equipments which support such technology may have a breakdown one day. So digitalise may not be able to replace whole process of certain operations.

For renewal of residence address, initial stage of registration and process is still in digital stage but end process still has to depend on postal service. It will be better if whole process can do away of hard copy. As mails may be lost. 

Some thoughts

Some parents are doting to their child but some are not. 

Some are doting to their kids by giving them things, but what is the point if you keep make your child or children worry and no self decipline?? 

Some are stubborn. No matter how much advise n persuation which is benifitial to their health they refuse to listen. I am really very sick of this type of behavior. Worry and stress comes together. I really wonder is it my previous life wrong doing which causes me to suffer under such tremeous stress as a karma in this lifetime. 

累。。。

不知道会不会有一天我会真的受不了因此结束生命。。
